Tools needed to read and write the ecu

To read abd write our cars there's a few tools that can be used. Hands down the best tool to use is mpps. Mpps is a flashing suite that will read and write threw the obd2 port along with bootmode flashing if and when you brick your ecu. Tje most common versions of mpps are v12/13, v16, v18 and v21. I have used clone v12/13 and version 16 first hand they work without issue. V16 can read and write the eeprom too. Eeprom writing is for immo immo offing the ecu, cloning or adapting ecus.
The clone cables can be bought on ebay or Amazon for about $20 or less. You'll need a Windows computer to run the software that came with the cable
